by Jelastic

OS Centos 7

Jelastic PaaS Lite Edition is designed for ISVs and IT service providers with their software, e-commerce, financial, educational, manufacturing, CMS, and other types of projects. It automates creation, scaling, clustering and security updates of microservices and monolithic applications within a dedicated customizable private cloud.

You get pre-configured clusters of WordPress, Magento, MySQL/MariaDB and other solutions within built-in marketplace, as well as all required tools for DevOps automation via intuitive UI. Existing projects can be easily migrated to the containerized Jelastic environments with zero code changes.

Jelastic PaaS Lite Edition is provided with a single point of management for cluster admins, including possibilities to set up quotas and access rules, adjust templates and add new packages to marketplace, monitor and extend infrastructure by demand.

The platform helps to eliminate complexity of infrastructure management, accelerate time to market, and ensure cloud cost efficiency.

Getting started after deploying Jelastic PaaS

First, ensure that you select a Droplet that meets Jelastic PaaS Lite Edition hardware requirements. It is recommended to start with 100 GB disk space, 8 GB RAM, and 4 CPU cores. However, based on your needs, you can select droplet of various capacities:

  • 8 GB RAM - for initial setup and small projects.

  • 16GB+ RAM - for production environments with medium load.

  • 32GB+ RAM - for large size development and production environments.

When the Droplet is created, access it via SSH under the root user to complete the installation process. After deployment, please check your email to find admin credentials to the installed cluster panel and dev panel.

API Creation

In addition to creating a Droplet from the Jelastic PaaS 1-Click App via the control panel, you can also use the DigitalOcean API.

As an example, to create a 4GB Jelastic PaaS Droplet in the SFO2 region, you can use the following curl command. You’ll need to either save your API access token to an environment variable or substitute it into the command below.

  curl -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
       -H 'Authorization: Bearer '$TOKEN'' -d \
      '{"name":"choose_a_name","region":"sfo2","size":"s-2vcpu-4gb","image":"jelastic-jelasticpaas-7"}' \
